It's been awhile since I posted a blog... and for good reason...
It's been a crazy past 4 days. Our Abby girl (our dog) experienced a horrible reaction to a flea and tick medication (Sentry Pro) that caused her to have seizures and it almost killed her... she's been in critical condition at the Canyon Pet Hospital in Flagstaff since the 2nd, but they think she may be able to come home now, although we have to keep her medicated until we make it to the vet in Minnesota. *sigh... I have been so sad, but that good news this morning made me feel like it now was safe to share with my family and friends what's been going on in my world. My pets mean as much to me as kids mean to other people I think... at one point when I was carrying her 60 pound self up the stairs and into the car to rush her to the hospital, I prayed for an adrenaline rush like people get when they lift cars off of someone they love. It sadly didn't happen, but it's amazing the strength you can still conjure up when you're desperate. I'm so grateful that she's still here with us. I think that somewhere in all of this there may be a lesson or four to learn... but for now, I am going to enjoy this feeling of relief and never take for granted a second that she is in my life. I'm also going to do some serious research on a natural way to prevent ticks on my dogs. Minnesota is apparently really bad about ticks in May, but there has to be way to prevent them from harming her... without harming her in the process. If you have any suggestions, please share!

donating = loving
If you find any joy and value in what I do, please consider becoming a Sustaining Patron with a recurring monthly donation of your choosing - between a cup of tea and a good lunch. My intention is to always keep my research found within The Yoga Blog and Journals for My Daughter free (and ad-free). It takes me hundreds of hours a month to sustain. Your support really matters. All proceeds go directly to Isabella, of course. ❤ MONTHLY DONATION
