Nurturing Your Mind, Body, and Spirit on the Path of Yoga and Self-Discovery
"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens." ~ Kahlil Gibran

Last spring I planted and prepared my herb garden for the summer. Although I wasn't here in Sedona to enjoy it throughout the Summer, this falls harvest has proved plentiful! I am overloaded with Lavender, Mint, Sage, Oregano, Tomatoes and the like. I'm feeling really blessed, but I have no idea what to do next! Dry them? Make them into essential oils? Freeze them? Make a tea? Give some away? So many options :)
If you'd like some fresh herbs of your own, feel free to contact me and swing on by to grab yourself some. Bring a paper bag that way you can keep some seeds too :) This is a great reminder that we shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously all the time. So remember while you watch, laughing at ourselves is essential to happiness! “Is that guy sitting lower than me? He must be shorter, man I’m good, I’m a warrior.” “My arms are sprouting out of my back. I am a butterfly!” - See more at: http://yoganonymous.com/video-what-yogis-really-think-during-class/#sthash.82DroNWY.dpuf The perfect after-yoga chocolate indulgence: raw vegan coconut truffles! They are super easy to make too: melt 1.5 cups raw coconut oil in mixing bowl over pan of warm water, stir in 1.5 cups raw cacao powder and 1/3 cup raw agave; let firm in fridge for 30 min. Mix in food processor, transfer to bowl and stir in 1 cup raw almond meal. Let sit 15 min then form into small balls and roll in shredded raw unsweetened coconut. Doneskis!
“Standing on the bare ground,--my head bathed by the blithe air and uplifted into infinite space,--all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or parcel of God.”

❤ WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT ASHLEY CRUZ YOGA ❤
"From Aldea Yanapay (great school of love to children), to the incredible homely hostel la boheme, to the food at mercado san blas and at greenpoint... My 6 weeks in Cusco/Qosqo/centre/gravitational centre were all truly well balanced out by Ashley ● I have been doing yoga for five years in London, Lisbon and NYC and I was wonderfully surprised by the teacher Ashley in Cusco, Peru. From her words, to the sense of opportunity, helping, the pace, the getting everyone's names and brief "why am I here", taste for music and simply those oils... vinyasa gained a new look for me. ● You made me feel so balanced out, just when I needed that push. May your excellent work continue and your knowledge be taken further." ~ Yours, Ana Maria (portugal)
